He Gives Us His Peace
In the DFW area this week, it’s been pushed that we’re going to have a massive winter storm, people have cleaned out the stores, everyone is panicking and preparing…and I’ll admit that on top of that, the ICE raids and other depressing politics have absolutely gotten me down.
It’s an attack on our nervous system, trying to control and scare us.
But God.
We have to remember that God is in control. None of what is happening is a shock to Him. We have to keep our focus and our hearts turned to Him for our peace.
1 Corinthians 14:33 says
“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.”
John 14:27-29 says
““I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. Remember what I told you: I am going away, but I will come back to you again. If you really loved me, you would be happy that I am going to the Father, who is greater than I am. I have told you these things before they happen so that when they do happen, you will believe.”
He wants us to have peace of mind AND heart. We have to focus on that and not let the world try to control us. He knows what is happening and WE know who wins.
Satan is trying to take down as many people as he can to the place that was prepared for him and the fallen angels. Don’t be apart of that list.
Stay safe this weekend, stay inside if you can, and read the Word while you have some down time! It’s ALL in there!
