God Winks

If you go through a few of my posts, I mention God winks more than a couple of times. It’s what I call when you’ve been thinking about something, or needing confirmation on something, and God shows you something to let you know He is listening.

It’s an overwhelming feeling of love each time it happens, and I bet if you slow down, pray and look around…you’ll realize He’s been winking at you as well!

He wants to talk to us and have a relationship with us, and with God, it is not a one-sided relationship! Now I’m not saying that every time I have a question or a doubt, a white dove immediately shows up and gives me the answer…but when I’m deep in the trenches, and believe me, I’ve been DEEP in the trenches…I will slow down and realize things that I may have missed otherwise! Other times it is immediate. The other day, I had been dwelling on something subconsciously and I hadn’t even said anything out loud, and suddenly I scroll past an encouraging video on exactly that thing!

It’s not a coincidence.

He cares for us. Jesus quite literally died for us.

One of my favorite verses comes from Matthew 11:28-30:

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

‭‭He will help you. All you have to do is ask, wait and listen. It’s amazing. I get emotional thinking about it y’all. If you’re searching for love in all of the wrong places, look to Him! Nobody will love you like He does. He created you and I just for Him…in His image.

That’s another word in itself…how can we hate ourselves sometimes when He made us in HIS image, and He is perfect?!

Anywho. I’ll say it again. Talk to Him. Confide in Him. Pray to Him while you wait. Listen to Him speak. Once you realize that first or second wink…I can guarantee that your outlook and relationship will completely change for the better. He is everywhere and in everything, nothing that happens is a coincidence.

Dear Jesus,

I love you and I thank you for everything. I pray for whoever is reading this, that You keep Your hand on them and speak to them in the way that only You know how. Show them that You are there and are listening. Show them the love that they are seeking. You said that if you ask it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Father, we are asking for Your guidance and for Your voice. We thank You for all that You have done and continue to do. In Your name we pray, Amen.
