And if not…He is still good!
Well guys…we are having conversations about hospice now…which means that the cancer is too far gone.
I have been crying all week. My heart HURTS. I’ve been at the hospital more than I’ve been anywhere else. I’m exhausted.
She has been fighting…but she is so tired. Her body is tired.
Last Monday we got a call from one of the nurses saying we needed to come say our goodbyes. It was a HARD day. She was mostly unresponsive and we were all crying, thinking she wouldn’t last through the night.
She did, however her organs aren’t recovering like the doctors hoped.
We prayed for complete healing…for a medical miracle…for my mom to receive good news…and we didn’t get it.
And God has been talking to me more than ever.
Last night I decided to start reading in Daniel, and just now (at work) I opened my Bible app to keep reading and reached Daniel 3:16-18:
“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.””
BUT EVEN IF HE DOESN’T!!!!
Their faith did not waver and neither will mine. My God is GOOD. He is just and He does not lie. Whenever my mom’s time is up here on earth, I KNOW that she will be in the presence of the Lord with no more pain 🥹. She WILL be made whole.
Sometimes life doesn’t work out how we hoped. Sometimes our prayers aren’t answered like we imagined. But God is still good!!
I know that my family and I have some hard times coming. But I know that God will never leave or forsake us (Joshua 1:5 and other places).
After all, this earth will pass away. Our ultimate goal is to follow Christ and live like He told us to, so that we can be with Him when it’s all over. That is all I keep telling myself (and my family). She has been in pain for such a long time. We are blessed to know it’s coming, so we can prepare and say our see ya laters…because I do plan on seeing her later when the Lord calls me home as well. I just hope that we can get our mansions side by side when that day comes.
Hug and kiss on your loved ones. Most times we don’t get a heads up that death is coming.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…there are only 2 options for eternity: Heaven or hell. Choose wisely and KNOW that you will be spending it with Jesus. As for me and my loved ones…this isn’t the end…we will be with Jesus in a place where there is no sadness, sickness, death or grief. He will wipe away every tear and we will spend eternity with Him 🥹.
